Novas

Every Aetheran's journey begins as a Nova.

Novas are the newly born souls of Aethera, individuals who have recently departed their lives on Earth and awakened within the ethereal realm.  Though they arrive in perfect health and restored to the best versions of themselves, they do so carrying the memories, emotions, and questions of the lives they once lived.

​

For many, becoming a Nova is both wondrous and overwhelming.  They must come to terms with leaving behind loved ones, understand the nature of their new existence, and discover the purpose that awaits them in Aethera.  Some arrive filled with curiosity and excitement, while others struggle with grief, confusion, or the weight of unfinished lives.

​

During this time of transition, Novas are guided by Aethera's many callings.  Anchors help mend wounded hearts, Archivists answer questions about the world around them, and Shepherds offer comfort through reunions with beloved companions.  Through patience and understanding, Aethera embraces each soul as it takes its first steps into eternity.

​

Yet, a Nova is more than a newcomer.  Within every newly born soul lies the potential to become something greater.  In order to be an Anchor, Tracker, Dreamer, or any number of other jobs Aetherans take on on their way to becoming a Guardian, they must first walk the path of a Nova.

​

To be a Nova is to stand at the beginning of a second life - to be given another chance to learn, to heal, and to discover who you are beyond the boundaries of a single existence.

​

For in Aethera, every ending is simply the birth of a new beginning.
