Anchor

Though Aethera is a realm of rebirth and wonder, eternity is not without its burdens.  No Aetherans understand this truth better than the Anchors, a compassionate and patient group devoted to preserving the emotional and spiritual well-being of their fellow citizens.

Born from the empathetic, nurturing, and resilient lives of humans on Earth, Anchors possess an extraordinary ability to recognize when an Aetheran's heart and mind have become untethered.  They guide those struggling with grief, trauma, despair, and the overwhelming memories of lives once lived, helping them remain firmly rooted in the present world they now call home.

The role of an Anchor is sacred.  They counsel newly born Novas who mourn the families they left behind, Guardians burdened by the tragedies of their binds, and even Champions whose duties often leave unseen scars upon their souls.  Their wisdom and discretion make them among the most trusted individuals in all of Aethera.

Unlike Trackers who seek knowledge or Champions who seek victory, Anchors seek understanding.  They believe that even in a celestial realm, a wounded soul can drift into darkness if left unattended.

In Aethera, it is often said that while Guardians protect the future and Champions defend the gates of Aethera, it is the Anchors who ensure that its people never lose themselves along the way.
